Keep the source close to the result
A summary or extracted field is easier to check when the original document is available beside it. We favour workflows in which a person can trace a result back to the material it came from and correct it before it becomes an operational record.
Separate a draft from an approved action
Reading a document, suggesting a classification and changing a business record are different jobs. A good workflow makes the transition between them explicit. The person approving a change should see what will happen and which records it will affect.
Measure the work that remains
A fast first draft is only part of the result. Review time, corrections and exceptions also matter. Start with a bounded task, compare it with the existing process and keep the cases that still need a person visible.
Choose a useful first problem
Bring us a recurring document or workflow, a clear description of the expected result and examples of the mistakes that matter. That is a practical starting point for deciding where AI belongs in a system.
