Giving open data a clear public-facing structure

Pace worked with eThekwini's strategic management and research teams on the presentation of Sustainable Development Goal information. The engagement brought together interface design, portal configuration and an identity for the Durban SDG initiative.

From prototype to the City's platform

The team developed clickable Adobe XD prototypes, logo concepts and page designs, then worked within the City's Esri ArcGIS Hub environment. Reviewed content included SDG 6 material. Workshops and client reviews shaped how the portal would present the initiative rather than treating branding and information design as separate exercises.

A focused contribution

This case concerns the 2022 SDG design and portal engagement. It does not imply delivery of a city-wide data platform or the later proposed water-asset programme. Pace's contribution was the user experience, visual identity and configuration work that helped organise the City's sustainability content.
