Preserving the information people depend on
A municipal website rebuild must carry forward more than its visual identity. Budgets, performance agreements, notices, tender documents and service information need to remain organised and accessible. Pace's Langeberg engagement combined a Joomla rebuild with content migration and a long-term support arrangement.
A modern CMS and a complete library
The 2023 programme rebuilt the website on Joomla 4 with a YOOtheme-compatible front end. Documents were migrated and checked with municipal departments. Registration and automatic-login workflows supported controlled access to tender documents, while communications staff received training to publish articles and documents themselves.
A service beyond the redesign
Hosting, DNS administration, SSL, backups, maintenance and periodic SLA reporting accompanied the build. Further work included email newsletters, registration refinements and a 2025 homepage redesign. The engagement ran through the initial three-year term and an extension to November 2025.
A documented handover
Pace concluded the engagement with a handover to the incoming provider. The project shows how a CMS migration, a document-heavy website and ongoing municipal publishing can be delivered as one coordinated service.
