Keeping a heritage institution's digital channel available

The Nelson Mandela Museum appointed Pace for website hosting and support. The work began with taking over the existing Craft CMS website, migrating it to Pace's environment and preserving recent content changes. Pace's role was technical continuity and support, not authorship of the inherited design.

Supporting the people who publish

Museum staff received CMS training, while Pace supported tenders, notices, documents and event media. The technical scope included SSL, domain and DNS management, analytics administration and coordination with the museum's IT partner on email deliverability and adjacent systems.

Continuity across a platform change

When the museum introduced a new WordPress site in 2023, Pace provided its hosting environment. The wider service ran from October 2021 to April 2025 across both platforms, concluding with a domain transfer and full backup for the incoming provider. The project demonstrates the value of an operational partner through migration, publishing and handover.

THE DELIVERY

A multi-year website hosting and publishing service spanning Craft CMS and WordPress, with training and a complete handover.
