Mkhambathini Local Municipality

Taking responsibility for an existing website, its content service and its technical handover.

Support does not always start with a rebuild

Mkhambathini appointed Pace to take over and operate an existing WordPress website. The site had been designed by another provider. Pace's contribution was the hosting, maintenance, publishing service and technical management needed to keep the municipal channel working.

The operational work behind the website

The engagement covered migration, performance-oriented plugin work, content uploads, account management and service reviews. Vacancies, tenders, financial schedules and audit documents were published through a ticketed support desk. A later move to a local server formed part of the infrastructure service.

An orderly transition

The three-year hosting and maintenance engagement concluded with a full site package, technical description and recommendations handed over in February 2026. For organisations inheriting a website, this case demonstrates an alternative to replacing everything immediately: establish technical ownership, a publishing process and a maintainable environment.

THE DELIVERY

Three years of website hosting and maintenance, followed by a documented handover of the inherited platform.
